Create scheduled scans of any area of your Mac or network that run in the background at regular intervals or at specific times, or even as soon as there has been an update. Multiple scheduled scans can run simultaneously, helping ensure that no part of your Mac or network can harbor undetected threats.

Scheduled scan progress is displayed on the desktop by default, although this can optionally be disabled so that scan progress is only visible in the main application console.

Scheduled scans do not require the ProtectMac AntiVirus application to be running or anyone logged in for them to trigger.

'Computer' will scan all drives currently mounted on your Mac when the scan runs, including local disks, backup drives, removable drives and network drives.

Scheduled Scans

Additional Information
You can manually start a scheduled scan at any time, pause or cancel it. A scheduled scan that has been started by the system and not started manually, requires the user to enter an Administrator password to cancel or pause the scan.
How it works...
If no threats are detected then the desktop progress display will fade out. However, if a threat is detected, a desktop alert will be displayed and you can select the Open button from the dialog to see further details from within ProtectMac AntiVirus.
